Disclosure Policy
Thank you for taking the time to read my disclosure policy!
This blog is a personal blog written and edited by only me. I share what I find because I truly love to help others learn make up skills which will make them look and feel their best.
On my site I like to review products which are renowned classics and also new products to see if they’re worth all the hype or just marketed well. My favourite products are the ones that I have found really work and make a difference and I will give you advice on how best to use them.
Please note that all reviews are unbiased and my 100% honest opinion. Although it is not a legal requirement within the UK, I do disclose every PR sample with an asterisk (*) in each post that features a sample or gifted product.
I will be reviewing hair products, makeup and all sorts of glamorous beauty products. There are so many new ones constantly coming on the market it can be overwhelming so I will aim to simplify it all for you and as a result save you money.
However, at the same time, I do believe it is OK that I am compensated by advertisers for the time and effort I put forth in sharing this information with you. I may be earning money from the plugin you buy or the course you sign up for. You may also see ads in my sidebars and footers – and I receive compensation for these as well and I am very grateful to you for supporting me in this way.
Integrity is of the utmost importance to me, so I promise that I will only ever promote products or services I personally believe in, use myself or want to recommend. By monetising the blog, I can continue to produce great content that I hope will interest and inspire my readers. The money I am paid will never influence the content, topics or posts I make.
I am not compensated in any way to provide my opinions on products, services, websites or any other topic. All opinions are 100% my own. I do republish content as may be provided by a manufacturer/retailer directly or from their site and any questions about such content should be verified with them.
If there is a giveaway on my site, the review is my own and is never influenced in any way by anything I may have received. Often times, I am provided with a product for review and for my time and sharing my opinions, I am allowed to keep the product for my personal use. This will be properly disclosed on the giveaway itself as I have nothing to hide.
I occasionally collaborate with brands on a paid partnership basis and often participate in affiliate programmes. Either way, the goal is to make my sponsored content no different in quality or personal opinion to the non-paid content. In all instances I will always give my 100% honest opinion (brands agree to pay me for the administration involved and the PR, not the review itself, i.e. they must agree to me expressing my own opinion).
Terminology:
Any blog post marked as “ad – paid partnership” means that I have accepted payment to write the post or include some promotional details or links.
I often use affiliate links for products. This means I may earn commission if you click through and buy (at no expense to you). Wherever possible I will link to the original product, though I also give alternative suggestions as either text links or linked thumbnails.
Amazon Affiliate Disclosure Notice: It is important to also note that Makeupover35.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. It is also important to remember that prices change quickly on Amazon so you will need to confirm the price I share in the post is the price you pay prior to finalizing your purchase.
